Sin and Punishment is a series of on-rail shooters that debuted on the Nintendo 64 with Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth. The game was never released on the American or PAL Nintendo 64, though was eventually released through the Virtual Console service. Sin & Punishment Star Successor was released nearly a decade later, and is highly acclaimed by critics. Though Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth was never released in America on the Nintendo 64, Nintendo later released the game on the Virtual Console in America and Japan. Saki Amamiya also made an Assist Trophy appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, hinting that a new Sin and Punishment would be released.
